Who's got the most famous grey snout in Christchurch?
NZ4203 has!
The delicate nose of our Lockheed is in demand for Me and the P-3 shots today, and everyone is warmly invited.
What could be better than a picture with the mighty Lockheed Orion P-3K2?
Our historic No.3 hangar is open from 10am until 3pm today, Saturday and Sunday.
Entry is free, car parking is free and the Orion is lovely to see.
We've also got a P-3 exhibition upstairs in our Cochrane Gallery and plenty of P-3 merch#extraordinaryaircraftr#lockheedmartinh#p3orionn#christchurchnzstchurchnz ... See MoreSee Less

Would be keen to buy merch with an image of the manufacturers plate on it btw.... the one in the cockpit between the door and the circuit breaker panels.
I got to come in and see her today on my visit to chch, was fantastic seeing her up close and personal after seeing her fly past over Timaru on the farewell tour, fantastic job team getting her set up on display, being able to walk all the way around her was awesome 👏 great to see such a massive turnout as well!
The only thing better would be a photo with the C130 or even the Andover but I am a truckie through and through
Looking forward to to the t-shirts
AWESOME day
Shirley Lena Carroll we should take Dylan
See u Sunday !!!!

We've also got our brand-new P-3 exhibition upstairs in the Cochrane Gallery so you can learn all about the history of this extraordinary aircraft as well as seeing it in its glory. #p3orion #aircadetsnzo#extraordinaryaircraftrdinaryaircraft ... See MoreSee Less

Air Cadets were a credit to their organisation. Very polite and helpful, thank you.
How much longer today are you open for visitors?
An extraordinary aircraft like the P-3 Orion needs an extraordinary video featuring some extraordinary RNZAF people to tell its story - enjoy!

Great video
It's a shame we can't comment on the video. It is simply amazing.

Good morning NZ4203!
Beautiful day and our even more beautiful Lockheed P-3K2 Orion is accepting visitors from 10am until 3pm today. Our new exhibition P-3 Orion - The story of an extraordinary aircraft is also on in our Cochrane Gallery upstairs.
Rosalie and her mum Amy took line honours as our first visitors - they were super keen.

Beautiful weather and it was worthwhile having a look, will definitely be back to see it again when she’s got her tail on. Was an awesome day and thank you team very much, it was well organised.
Done my time with 03 back on 5 Sqn. Great aircraft. Sadly missed.
A great day for a walk down the the #3 hangar.
Well done and very well organised thanks team
Will be there on Saturday morning
If my memory serves me correctly, the ex RAAF P3-B had a higher MTOW than the 5 RNZAF ones (it was built a couple of years later and had a few upgrades). In RNZAF service was it operated at the higher weight or was it operated to the same specs as the rest of the fleet?
always wanted to look around one of these
Ew Kraken I forgot it’s school holidays 🥲
